NY Times: The Abortion Ruling Was Stunning but Not Surprising by The Editorial Board
Now, with a hard-right supermajority on the bench for this purpose, that goal is within reach (overturning Roe v Wade) — even as a solid and consistent majority of the American public continues to believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases.

Elections have consequences and so do deaths. The death of Justice Ginsburg will now sadly lead directly to the deaths of many other women. I also agree with the opinion in the article that the Court is not just going to over turn Roe but it is also going to make unborn babies full citizens from Conception and therefore also ban many types if not all contraceptive devices as well. I think this Court will also reverse the rulings on Gay marriage and the rest of LGBT rights as well. Add to this their crushing of miniority voting rights and we have a perfect storm. What will the Dems. do faced by this radical right wing Court wedded to a Reactionary and radically antidemocratic GOP? My guess is nothing but whine.
Apparently some of this law has been put on hold by some judge. There's going to be a lot of pushback, people are not ready to yield to the religious extreme right in this country.
