So, here's the irony in this storyline. If you remember Coolio after having basically ripped off this song from Steve Wonder then turned around and bitterly criticized Crazy Al Yankovic for doing a hilarious tribute parody to Coolie's song with his song "Amish Paradise." You know actually probably knowing Al he did it as a parody of BOTH versions and Coolie being the dick he always is didn't pick up on that.
Interesting story. The question for me is did Stevie Wonder get any royalties for Gangsta's Paradise. He certainly deserves it because that haunting chord change is remarkable music writing.
