The enormous responsibility and pressures of that office are simply way beyond this man at this juncture in his life. He might have always been an asshole but this isn't about his character even it's about his rapidly declining facilities and ability to do the job. No wonder people are talking seriously about a coup based on the 25th. In English history they had a similar situation with George the 3rd when he had a disease that caused him to go mad for a time.
