Trumpf et al. are up to their asses in Russia. Trumpf himself has been a money launderer for the Russians for decades. It's common knowledge here in AC NJ where he was fined repeatedly for just such activity while owning and managing three Casinos here. The connections to Russian mobsters are also all over the place hell he hosted an Int'l Russian mob office in the Trumpf Tower a few floors below his own office. The man has borrowed billions from Russian banks and Russian mafia figures and Oligarchs all in one way or another tied to Putin. That he's being given a pass by the GOP for all of it is pure power politics. Ryan and the rest know damn well how tainted and corrupt this guy is but many of them are also on the hook for Russian money and connections as well. So, its not likely the GOP Congress will ever Impeach him if he goes it will be because of Mueller's investigation and the odds are good he'll FIRE Mueller not too far up ahead. Then what?

I like what you say about Ryan and the rest being well aware of Trump's unsavory connections to Russia. My fear is that the bridge collapses for Trump, but not soon enough. The books will be coming out 10, 20, 30 years from now, but it's not soon enough. The information is there, the people that know better probably already understand how dirty Trump is, the people that support Trump are living on the fumes of 'emotional' 'facts'. You could turn Trump's unsavory activity into acid and stick their heads in it, and they wouldn't budge in their beliefs. This the is the partisan divide that is not crossed. Trump could get kicked out of office today and roughly 4 out of 10 people will not know why and be furious about it.
