I watched that segment and it was chilling. Whats more chilling are the millions of people who want a desp[ot or a King as long as he supports what they want. These folks are tired of democracy they want ORDER and they want their beliefs forced on everyone else. A deep layer of authoritarianism runs through this layer of the public and Fox and other right-wing media outlets have been carefully cultivating it for decades. Trumpf is the leader they've been craving a ruthless bully intent on getting what he wants at almost any price.
Yes, it is a chilling segment, and the author seems authentically nervous about it all. I don't get the authoritarian mindset but I do recognize that it is there and that it was a big part in driving the election. Why that appeals over democracy makes no sense. Trump is dangerous. I would love to see Jones win in Alabama because that's one more heavy vote against Trump and it also slightly opens the door to the Dems taking back the Senate in 2018.
