I consider myself a relatively tolerant moderate, but this is truly getting ridiculous. These fundamentalists are a huge problem and more power to the FBI for tracking these idiots down.

He's certainly getting a lot more media attention than the homegrown right wing christian nuts.. Has there been much focus on the attempted bombing of the NAACP headquarters? Or the guy who tried to blow up the Martin Luther King day march last year? How about the couple of tea baggers who shot those cops? The media is very selective about who they shine their spotlights on.
BBC News america; Katy Kay spent 15 minutes talking about the victims of the Paris delicatessen attack; showed footage of the funeral in Israel. Listened to an Israel commenter criticize Obama for not showing up in France.
Then Katy took a deep breath, spent about ten seconds mentioning the horrific deaths of thousands in Nigeria, before moving on to a story about the Ukraine.
So from I can gather from TV news, some lives are more important than others.
You're point is well taken and it's good that you point this out. There is certainly an aura of frustration surrounding all of it - fundies of all stripes and religions. That is how I experience it. I suspect the reason why the Islamic fundies get more attention is because the object of their strikes are the seats of power - blow up the Capitol etc etc. The people in these places of power hold the biggest microphone. All lives are important, in truth even the lives of the perpetrators. The question remains how to fix it. In my opinion this remains the biggest issue - how do we live with this large upsurge in fundie carnage.
