The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 28 degrees and sunny with some clouds here in Upstate NY. What can we say, we are into November which is usually a pretty gray month around here, so enjoy the sun. My sympathy goes out to all dog owners around the US. Dogs don't know about daylight savings and so they are still working on their normal internal clocks as it were. Eventually they will adjust to you.

At 8:45 a.m. ET futures are moderately lower and the price of oil per barrel is lower. The market is poised to open lower.

Investors will continue to parse third quarter corporate reports along with economic reports, today. Meanwhile the indexes remain in record territory while Q.E.3 continues. Enjoy the fluffiness while it's here because the only thing you can count on is change - sometimes positive.

CNN: Stocks drift lower
Major U.S. indexes are trading near all-time highs, supported by the U.S. Federal Reserve's historic stimulus program, which is pumping billions of dollars into the financial system each month.

Asian markets ended with mixed results.
