'The Happy Poet'

trailer - one of those interesting and sparse indie films, very benign, somewhat dry humor filled, and a very good effort. I'd give it 3 stars out of a possible 4.

It fits the shrunken expectations so many of this young generation now have. Unless, your good @ math real good, or unless you have one of those insider jobs or was born rich your fucked in this world.

It has a happy economic ending, but the vast tone of the movie is as you say. The main character's acting is a person who rarely smiles, rarely says anything outside of a narrow range of emotion yet is still intelligent. His boundaries are severe, economic and social, but there's still a tiny glimmer, a spark of creativity.
