The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 40 degrees and overcast here in Upstate NY. April is here and hooray for that. By April 15th the weather in these parts takes a noticeable shift, the warmth is more established, and we start to see some of the early foliage on the trees, shades of white and yellow. I hope you had a nice weekend. We see that the US us sending some high tech jets to South Korea and that the tensions in that region continue to make the news headlines. Step away from the war.

At 7:30 a.m. futures are slightly down and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open lower.

Wall Street was closed on Friday and up to that point the indexes were performing at record levels. The question now becomes what's next. We've seen articles presenting both sides of the equation, that the market will continue its bull run or that it will fall in a new correction. It's easy to find articles that will call it either way and with compelling logic as well, that is always the case all year long on any given year. Experience tells us that the market is hard to predict. With a new quarter and new earnings reports, those facts will tell the tale.
