The Market On Friday

Good morning. It is a steamy 36 degrees and it is sunny here in Upstate NY. It literally feels steamy because it has been very cold in the a.m. in these parts literally since last November. Is that depressing? Yes it is. After 5 months of winter 36 degrees is t-shirt weather. People are so psyched about it too. Earlier I saw one female runner out with no hat, no gloves, and a simple shirt no layers. She was feeling the heat. The forecast is teasing us with a number in the 70s for Monday and we are literally crying with joy.

At 7:40 a.m. futures are moderately lower and the price of crude oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open lower. But...

If somehow the government jobs report dues out at 8:30 comes in better than expected, the market could turn. It's not expected though, in fact the numbers are allegedly very weak and disappointing. Do expect to hear about it all day long and into the weekend with Republicans pouncing on a poor report even though the GOP has done everything in its little evil hands to make this reality, a poor job market, occur.

CNN: Stocks: Jobs, jobs, jobs!
At 8:30 a.m. ET, the Labor Department will release the closely watched monthly jobs report for March.
