Wall Street Is Closed Today

Good morning and welcome to President's Day. I hope you had a good weekend. It is 8 degrees, windy, and sunny here in Upstate NY. This is the hard part of the winter where we all, AKA me, want it to be over. It's hard moving about in this type of cold and wind, but we figure it out. Wall Street is closed today. Even the economy needs a holiday. I see that the 350.org rally in DC was a huge success with roughly 50,000 attending and expressing the need to Obama to not build tar sands pipelines from Canada. Let's hope Obama heard the voices. In another respect this is a momentous type of rally because it looks like the people are starting to build popular momentum around climate change and the need to take immediate action. We take our hats off to all those who attended. It's important to keep the pressure up.
