Already running for President.

The Republicans have been so utterly unlikeable in recent years that when someone like Christie goes on TV and acts the fool, people are totally disarmed and charmed. He's got the formula, like it or not. Plus his 'non partisan' words during Sandy were likeable to the NYC area. I predict Hillary vs Christie in 2016 with the edge going one way or the other depending on how the economy does under Obama.

Won't the repubs push Marco Rubio, since they suddenly understand they need to pander to the "Hispanic vote"?

Fox News is launching a Spanish-language channel very soon. There a a bunch of conservative Hispanic republicans waiting in the wings. So I'm not sure if Christie will be acceptable to the Repub decision makers.

One memory I have of the recent campaign: whenever Christie appeared alongside the Romneys, the expression on Ann Romney was priceless. She tried her best to conceal it, but the way she curled her nose whenever she appeared with him showed that she was completely disgusted with an overweight pol from New Jersey.

I predict Marco Rubio or some other "new" republican will win the nomination in four years.

Personally, I would love to see Elizabeth Warren make a run. I would pick her over Hilary any day.

I would agree with you on Elizabeth Warren. She is 'the' rising Democratic star in my opinion and I too would love to see her run for President eventually. It just seems like Hillary has a window which closes after 2016. The only thing about Rubio is that the GOP has a history of promotion through the ranks and maintaining that method of selection. Maybe next time they will break that mold. Jeb Bush is another likely candidate and he would be more in keeping with the promotion in rank GOP method.
