Good morning. It is 25 degrees and sunny here in Upstate NY. I would say fifty percent of the recently acquired snow layer melted away yesterday. It got warm on Saturday, I was out in a sweater.

We have Romney winning the Washington State caucus. Perhaps its dawning on the GOTP (Grand Old Tea Party) that Santorum has the snowball in hell chance of winning. Super Tuesday is around the corner and perhaps the GOTP selection monstrosity can be put to rest with Romney as the bona fide candidate. Romney and Obama are both corporatists, one suspects little difference in how they would lavishly deal with Wall St. Romney unfortunately is a neocon puppet. His foreign policy would build on the magnificent work of Bush 2, extreme sarcasm intended. On the positive side, Gingrich is cooked and probably for good, meaning we don't have to endure another period of his presidential aspiration ever again.

Rush The Pig thing has issued a half assed apology for his incendiary remarks about Sandra Fluke. Clearly its damage control, controlling the exodus of his advertising dollars. The major damage remains and most of it is about the damage to the GOTP itself. Periodically I would turn on his grossly ugly radio show for a vile update, but no more. I pity his supporters, such willful ignorance and intrinsic stupidity deserves at least a tiny measure of sympathy. We're not supposed to become hateful misinformed people as we age, we need to do a bit better.

Now if only I could shake this week long head cold.
