The economy for tens of millions is gone and for many never coming back. Biden if he wins will like FDR in 1932 have an immediate set of crisis on his hands. The first will be to get the virus under control if by Jan. it hasn't passed it's peak. Until then he can't do anything but watch as trump et al. murder thousands with inept and delusional non-actions and actions. The second dire situation will be a dying economy as millions face utter poverty their life savings gone turned out of their homes and apts. they are on the streets and furious. These two crisis will be compounded by a country brimming with automatic weapons of all kinds and filled with hatred. Uncle Joe is going to have chaos to deal with even while he fights trump's rearguard attempt at holding on to power. If we manage to escape some kind of civil strife next year it will be a miracle. Keep in mind this pandemic is only in it's 4th month and the Spanish flu lasted 18 mos. and killed 600K +.

One thing to consider is that Biden may very well win big. He will carry a significant majority. The crazy neo-nazi, supremacist types will be there and they'll continue to be a nuisance, yet the mood in the country is different. More and more people are simply sick of this shit. Just look at the statues being pulled down and the insistence that is coming up. There's no repressing this. We are in a period of change. The epidemic has changed a lot of things but it has also changed the way people go about living in society from an economic perspective. I personally am buying very little other than food. And you know what - I like it. This party and consume like there's no tomorrow that is the American model has hit a wall - COVID-19. People are rethinkng their needs. The jobs issue will be regional, poor communities will be worse, wealthier areas will be lessened but viable. We'll figure it out over time.
