The name if the town is an Oxymoron now. I statred two food Co-pts in my time. One in College back in the late 60's early 70's in Calif. That was easy. The 2nd was in NJ in my home town after college and that proved daunting. The Co-opt I founded in NJ locally lasted for about ten yrs. then some of the members somehow changed the bylaws and esentially stole it and turned it into their own private business and it lasted another 15 yrs. till they sold it and it went out of business. Co-opts are a great idea but they are very hard to run and manage. Americans don't understand them, they are married to the private business model and feel uncomfortable working in any other kind even if its cheaper for them or easier. It's because of our conditioning and training.

Interesting I helped start one too, minor role back in the 70s. Later on I managed it for a few years.

We have a shared common interest/background.
