The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is a whopping 36 degrees and it is overcast here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The forecast is predicting the temperature goes into the 40s later and there's a chance of rain. The warm winter of 2016 continues, let's see what February brings as we have gotten through January relatively unscathed with respect to snow and the temperatures have been mild. I did not watch the Democratic town hall last night opting to watch The X-Files and then hitting the sack early. The first glimpses of the news seem to indicate that Hillary Clinton presented herself in outstanding form. Bernie continues to excite his fans and soon we get to see exactly what is what. It could be a real battle or it could be a lopsided victory for Hillary, who knows.

At 8:45 a.m. ET futures are modestly higher and the price of oil per barrel is down now in the $30.50 range. The market is poised to open higher.

Seeing oil continue to drift lower and lower is now a regular daily spectacle. The Saudis continue to crank it out and the world financial community continues to attempt to adjust. There is some speculation that the market and oil will continue to drift, there's a lot more potential hurt out there.
