The wildfire, which ignited May 1 in eastern Alberta and was brought under control on July 5, forced Canada’s largest-ever evacuation.

Sadly, it's just the beginning. As things warm in the north because of the warming amplification effect in the Arctic region the landscape will change radically , it already is. All this bodes ill for the rest of the planet.

Yup, the new norm is what we are seeing now, and new disasters may very well end up being much worse, greater fires, greater droughts, bigger floods, ....
