Mask Guide

Washington Post: Do I still need to wear a mask? A guide to help you decide. By Fenit Nirappil , Katie Shepherd, Salvador Rizzo and Dan Diamond

But N95s and KN95s — considered the gold standard of masks — are still an effective shield against the coronavirus even when you are wearing them and others are not, experts say. The 95 in their name means the mask filters out 95 percent of particles that you would otherwise breathe in.

Masks work otherwise Drs. wouldn't bother wearing them when needed. I use K95s and I change them out every 4 mos. for new ones. So far so good. I wear them inside public places. I try to stay out of crowds, and I rarely eat in restaurants anymore. I don't expect to stop wearing them anymore during flu and probably CV2 season in the fall and winter. Doing without seasonal respiratory diseases is a good thing and if wearing a mask reduces the chances of getting them so be it.

I just ordered new KN95s, we wear them in crowded stores. People want everything to get back to normal, that's going to take a little more time.
