The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 14 degrees, overcast, and very very lightly snowing here in the Upper Hudson Valley. The weather report has modified it's forecast for this area and right now we are expected to get only 2 to 6 inches of snow today. That's down quite a bit from the 8 to 14 inches we were expecting. What can we say, we dodged the bullet. Apparently Boston is getting pounded but NYC missed the bulk of Juno. I woke up expecting to see a wall of white stuff and low and behold, nada.

At 9:00 a.m. ET futures are significantly lower and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to tank at the opening bell.

Allegedly it is corporate results or should we say disappointing corporate results that are dragging on the market today. There is a boatload of results coming up today and after the closing bell, let's see what happens. Either way, the waves have gotten a lot choppier.
