Nothing is going to be done till its way way too late and then all the yahoos will blame us for it anyway.
I tend to agree, unfortunately. I have a friend who is in an elite position with this information and he is optimistic. At the academic level, some extremely bright people from many countries are very deeply committed to helping us all out. I had the opportunity to sit in on an elite university zoom call/meeting about one single issue and it was very impressive. Some things are happening that are not well known but we get the worst scenario news.
