 NY Times: Can Anything Be Done to Assuage Rural Rage? By Paul Krugman

...depend on two things: whether it’s possible to improve rural lives and restore rural communities, and whether the voters in these communities will give politicians credit for any improvements that do take place.

No amount of checks in the mail signed by Biden could assuage rural rage.

The question of 'is this possible' is academic at best. Krugman knows this. But the article is level headed. If only the voters were.

I have to admit that it's only recently that I've thought about the rural/urban divide.

Better late to rural/urban party than never. It's who we've become but not, IMO, who we are.
