The Post’s Kim Bellware reported, there are 23 states — nearly half the country — in which no permit is required to carry a concealed firearm in public.

Why even bother reporting on this anymore? We all know the GUN lobby runs the Country along with the ARMS industry and the OIL and Stock Barons. Gun violence is just target practice gone terribly wrong in the view of most pols.They are not going to do crap about it.

I can't put up a counter argument to what you are saying. I personally could not live in a state where anyone can carry like that, without a permit. However gun violence in cities in NY is up, I also wouldn't go walking downtown at night and this is NY. One aspect of this article that caught me was how people no longer even think about punches or fighting. The first impulse now is to shoot. That's a change. that's an uptick that is very scary. We all will be living in enclaves that we can afford, you pay a lot extra for a safe town or neighborhood. The poorer we are, the more violent the neighborhood.
