...Republicans are not "sending their best." The entrance of unhinged characters and charlatans (e.g., Reps. Paul Gosar, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz) and the departure of many of the sane, reasonable ones (e.g., Sen. Bob Corker, Rep. Ileana Ross-Lehtinen, Sen. Jeff Flake) means that people who might not otherwise get prestigious, top-paying jobs are now running the GOP.
