It's what we plan to do. We already live in a retirement beach town for 50 yrs. own our home and have decided all things considered we can't afford to move to Calif. so instead we are going to stay put in NJ and buy a Winnebago et al. to travel in the winter after we retire in a few years. We'll become snowbirds heading to the south , southwest and west for the winter months to return with the birds north in April to plant our garden and enjoy the summer and fall at home. Atleast while we can.

Sounds like a good plan. You given me food for thought with the Winnebago. My idea of a life as a retired senior is living at a meditation monastery. Go figure.
