Scary, but nobody is listening. NJ has a surge but again because of the vaccines a lot of people think this is over. The vaccines are great but they are only a piece of the puzzle of getting this pandemic under control. The kids really don't care and won't till their pals are sick and dying. I worry that this beast will mutate around the vaccines and we'll find ourselves playing catch up with it. We can develop new better vaccines but can we stay ahead of this things as it mutates? It's got billions of people to infect so I think the idea of Herd immunity is nonsense globally. God help us if it mutates backwards into something like SARS or MERS but 200% more infectious then either of them. Stay tuned this is a long way from over.

I'm still playing by the rules, distancing, mask, no large gatherings, using caution. Most of us are up here, maybe even too much because I'll see someone walking alone outside wearing a mask. I'm not that careful, I'll go for a walk or run and no mask, and I'm not worried. It's not like I'm walking into crowds.
