Noam's review is now being echoed all over. Doesn't matter. The Oliogarchs rule now and they want a 2 class society. The destruction of most of whats left of the once mighty American and European middle classes will proceed. The targets now are the destruction of the social safety nets everywhere and the public sector that is its base. The destruction of the private sector middle class is almost complete with the successful wiping out of the Union movement and the transfer of these jobs to low wage authoritarian societies in Asia and elsewhere.
The essay is detailed and chocked full of information. One thing that keeps resonating with me is how the interests of the vast majority of people are in direct opposition to the Oligarchs. Yet we keep electing politicians that are part of the Oligarchy, nobody else can out spend these guys. We keep calling it democracy.
Its a MONEYOCRACY not a democracy. You don't even get a shot at the brass ring unless the BIG guys and gals own you or your one of them like PEROT. Obama is just another paid for flunky. his pitch to the $$ guys goes like this in private. The idiots that vote for me have no one else they can turn to. Plus, these are very stupid people or they'd be like u rich. The utter contempt this weasel has for the rest of us is so clear in his phony smile. He's just another predator like the rest of his kind.
