Bartok's 'Mikrokosmos' is an indispensable series of pieces and technical studies for learning to play the piano. There are 153 graduated exercises from beginner to complex. If you want to learn to play the piano, get a copy, start with Volume 1. I use editions from Boosey and Hawkes.
