Dawkins

Just to be clear, I'm posting this not necessarily because I believe it or support it, but because it interests me. To me, faith should arise out of careful examination, evaluation, and evidence. Perhaps he's referring to accepting faith out of fear or societal and familial pressure.

"Faith is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence. Faith is belief in spite of, even perhaps because of, the lack of evidence."
