Say what you want, TS is unique among superstars in that she turned her diary into a billion dollar business. There is so much to commend....the hardest working, laser focused, treats her employees well...etc. etc. etc.
The newest album has its share of earworms as good as any pop hits in any era. IMO.
But...(you knew this was coming) her monomaniacal relentlessness is her superpower and her curse. "Revenge is a dish best served up in a song" is a theme that has become tedious, along with unlimited emphasis on wrong syllables. It's her own art form that often feels exhausted and artless.
