National Gun Of America

This is real. Why not sponsor a bill to make the '100 Megaton A-Bomb' the 'National Bomb of the United States'. How f-ing tone deaf are these people?

Gov. Track: H.R. 1095: To declare an AR-15 style rifle chambered in a .223 Remington round or a 5.56x45mm NATO round to be the National Gun of the United States.

R Moore, Barry [R-AL2] Primary Sponsor
R Boebert, Lauren [R-CO3] Original Cosponsor Oversight and Accountability
R Clyde, Andrew [R-GA9] Original Cosponsor
R Santos, George [R-NY3] Original Cosponsor

I look at it as the opposite of tone deaf. What used to be a dog whistle is now a clear and loud "tone". It's all a deliberate means to an end. Tr**p paved the way for this "no holds barred/anything goes/winner takes all" system that we've got.

This monstrosity is a big F.U. to all the thousands upon thousands of people and communities who have experienced mass shootings up front and personal. When someone is shot, as we know, it affects a lot of people and communities. Look at the sponsors, Boebert and Santos? One's got an IQ of 5 and the other is a straight up lying psycho.

I do not disagree with one word that you’ve said above.
My characterization that these people are not tone deaf was from the perspective that they know exactly what they’re doing & why.
I certainly did not intend it as a way to excuse or justify their behavior.

I know Mark, I was just venting my contempt. If I could look at this objectively as if it were a social experiment, I would call this a fascinating social problem. Unfortunately, this literally involves all of us and myself. So here we have one side attempting to limit assault weapons because of how they are used in mass murders, and then on the other side you have people that want to enshrine an assault weapon as a national treasure.

I share your outrage and contempt. It is a national disgrace.

I just think Boebert and Santos and their ilk are “opportunists” using this supercharged issue cause it’s low hanging fruit. It gives them the most bang for their lazy buck. They are not passionate about guns, merely engaging a cold, calculating Tr**plike strategy to advance themselves. Societal damage and destruction is not their concern. It is very sad.

Oh yes by doing this they get one side of the NRA crowd. It's humorous that a low life like Santos would go there. Talk about an untrustworthy adversary.

Their have gleefully sold their souls.
I don't know how I could live with that emptiness.
Maybe they're empty to start with, so there is nothing to lose.
