Michelle Qureshi

In describing award winning composer and musician Michelle Qureshi's music we could start with there are many aspects to our shared human condition, many aspects to the soul of humankind. Michelle’s music reflects and expresses the softer, kinder side which seeks our underlying need for interconnection, healing, and freedom from society’s built in chaotic turbulence. This music almost insists that you be at ease, let the body settle, and begin to breathe again with comfort and thoughtfulness, it is a catalyst for experiencing some needed peace. Michelle’s main instrument is the guitar, she is classically trained and sometimes explores the family of guitar related plucked string instruments. "She's known to play a variety of instruments on her albums and in her sound immersions, such as nylon and steel string guitars, harp guitar, guitalele, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, cello, keyboards, synthesizers, Native American flutes, drone flutes, didgeridoo, singing bowls, gongs, and various percussion instruments." Her impressive discography has both solo and multi-tracked multi-layered work all performed by Michelle and produced to great effect and mastery.

In Michelle’s own words - “I've been in Central Indiana for about 20 years and for the last 10 I've been composing, recording and producing my music, releasing 15 albums and nine singles since 2012. My music ranges from solo guitar compositions to multi-layered instrumental ambient, new age and neo-classical pieces. I'm a Furch/Stonebridge Guitar Ambassador as well as a Timberline Harp Guitar Ambassador with support from Elite Acoustics, LaBella Strings, and others.”
