Revisiting "putting country over party". Oh my my, it's so hard to watch.
His 15 minutes ended in 2000.
Lest we forget Tipper's war on harmful song lyrics. Not cute.
Bottom line for me is this guy set the Democrats current template:
"let's appear to do the right thing and only bring a knife to the gun fight cause winning is less important than taking the high road"
Current politics in America doesn't allow for reasonable behavior. That only worked when both sides played - at least loosely - by the same set of rules.
Sure yet Gore is doing something that many who could, are not. He' going on TV and saying something about it, about the big lie. There should be a procession of people doing this every day.
A procession of people speaking truth to power who CURRENTLY HOLD POWER is what could be effective. What political system rewards that kind of sacrifice? Not ours.
