Great comment Jim I totally agree with everything you said. He won't be convicted because of the GOP is no longer a real political party it's a kult of personality the way the NAZI party was and the Communist parties of Stalin and Mao were. It still is but regardless the Dems. cannot walk away from this or try to minimize how serious this is. For the second time in our history a party has used violence to try and have its way through Insurrection and rebellion. It's criminal that many of those responsible for this act are still allowed to be in Congress. They all have violated their oath and should be ejected from that body as were the Secessionists in 1861. We are in fact in a kind of Civil War with these people and if they are allowed to bury what they did we can expect far worse from them up ahead. They are a heavily armed body of people and they've shown they will KILL to get their way. The 6th of Jan. wasn't the end of this. Sadly, more political violence probably lies ahead if this isn't dealt with now.
Thanks, I'm pleased the comment got the pick because there's a feeling that my voice is out there be it in a tiny way. The comment seems to have resonated with a lot of people too as I just checked it, many replies etc. I believe there will be more violence as well. I also do not know what to think about the January 6th riot in one particular way. There were highly trained people in the bunch of 40,000. Perhaps a few thousand were trained military types working as a unit to essentially invade the Capitol. What I don't get is this. We're being led to believe those people got into the Capitol and started taking selfies. Really? That's all they did, selfies and pictures of Nancy Pelosi's desk. I have an unsettling feeling that there was greater damage, greater violence, and we don't know about it yet. It's not adding up in my mind.
