Axios: Trump's trade war on China was a failure in every possible way by Dion Rabouin,
"The trade war with China hurt the US economy and failed to achieve major policy goals," a recent study commissioned by the U.S.-China Business Council argues, finding that the trade war reduced economic growth and cost the U.S. 245,000 jobs.

Yes, it was a huge failure but it happened because many Americans feel China has abused it's special trading status that was awarded it almost 20 yrs. ago. China has also flagrantly violated the deal it made with the UK when it took back Hong Kong and it's preparing for war to retake Taiwan at some point. I have no trust in the present party leadership either. China is a dangerous adversary now one we are way to dependent on. Both China and Russia are real problems for us right now and were in an extremely fragile State right now and they both know it. The world is a powder keg like it was in the early 20th century right prior to WW1. It's like the scene out of "Reservoir Dogs" right at the end where everyone has a gun pointed at everyone else. MAD is creeping back into the picture again now but China is almost as militarily strong as the ex. Soviet Union was and much stronger economically at this point.
That's one I have yet to wrap my mind around.
Add 8 billion people into the equation with a rapidly degrading climate and environmental situation and I really worry about the planet I'm leaving my kids. I wish them well, but I fear they are going to have a rough time of it sooner then later.
