Down Then Up

  I experienced parts of the internet down this morning.

Maybe its just a coincidence, but I was in an Internet app on my ph. when this hit and it trashed the OS on my iPhone. I'm still rebuilding the ph. Didn't effect my laptop, though.

Crap. I couldn't get on the NY Times website this morning and I assumed Russia was doling out some Trump payback.

Only a very professional and highly organized group could've taken down a hub with the DNS servers in it. Those servers are usually buried behind many layers of security. This was a serious attempt to disrupt the Net and business in general and it worked. This bodes ill for the future. The implications are very serious.

Yeah, except now that the flaws are uncovered, there are equally good minds capable of patching the holes. When the USA is really pressed, there really are great minds around to find an answer. That doesn't work in American politics but in the technological world it does.
