This particularly bad news for life on Earth. Might not sound that bad , but consider this that's 20% of the largest branch of the tree of life on this planet and that 20% underpins an enormous amount of other species including us.

Yes, this is more unbearable news. The repercussions from a loss of plant life of this size are too many to count or even be aware of.
