We had one of neighbors over for dinner and she asked us who we wanted for Pres. this yr. and when we said Bernie she got a really surprised look on her face and then she said , "You mean you don't believe in GOD?" I got to admit her statement caught me off guard. I said, what do you mean? She then said that she had heard Bernie was a Communist and that Communist are atheists. So , curious about who she was for I asked her. She said TED CRUZ. She pressed me on the Atheist thing and I smiled and said I wasn't , but where did she hear Bernie was? She said, she heard it on a radio show she listens to. I just changed the subject as I could see she was now a bit shocked and put off by our choice. Since she doesn't say hi anymore and this even after we had her for dinner. Oh well.

I hear you. I've got a few old friends on Facebook that have gone totally red neck rightwing size extra large. After the initial - hey man long time no see, what's up with you - there's not any reason to communicate beyond how's the weather. I mean I can't even look at the posts, they are so hateful and confused. We are too polarized in this country. I saw a graphic depiction of how this polarization has grown especially during Obama's term. It colors more and more of a person's day to day thought processes. Turns out 50% of the country was not wise or mature enough to accept a black man as president. The backlash is Trump and Cruz and the new Trump.O.P.

Yep, Trump and Cruz are indeed just that. This crowd sees it all slipping away now and they are intent on not going into the night quietly. What worries me is that many of them are armed to the teeth and if they decide to go nuts the rest of us can't rely on the police to defend us in many ares of the country.
