Pre Obama Jobs Speech

Unpleasant article on the political posturing going on in Washington prior to Obama's anticipated speech on jobs. It's unpleasant because as the GOP says - Obama's policies do not work but the problem is that while this could be true, the GOP policies are significantly worse. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Quoting from Chomsky we have, "...the debt is being cynically exploited by the far right, with the collusion of the Democrat establishment, to undermine what remains of social programs, public education, unions, and, in general, remaining barriers to corporate tyranny." If you think the landscape is crappy now, after a GOP cult extremist president like Bachmann or Perry it will look like a moonscape, pock marked, empty of any air and life, barren, and hostile.

CS Monitor: What will Obama say about jobs? The pre-speech maneuvering begins.
