Economy Cooled In May

The DOW tumbled on Wednesday. Investors took note of a series of reports that showed the economy cooling off in May. People predicted the economy to cool but this was more than expected. The drop off occurred in many sectors including home prices, jobs, manufacturing, and car sales.

Take note that many economists still predict a better environment in the latter half of 2011.

The US economy slowed sharply during May, according to a series of reports Wednesday that pushed stock prices down sharply.
