Bikers Prevail

Westboro is certainly making a name for itself as a very curious sideshow on the American horizon. Now the bikers are confronting them, and one suspects they may have confronted them at previous stops.

The thing that keeps Westboro in the news and in a curious mind space is that they are a Christian group. Recall that 70% of Americans consider themselves to be Christian. If Westboro were an Islamic group how far would they last?

Westboro continues to place itself in the center of the most severe tragedy and to blame the victims. This time they appear in Joplin. They are compelled to drive more trauma into a despairing situation. They cheer lead despair and suffering as a sign of the sufferers own moral confusion. To many its possibly the most offensive act out there.
