Food Stamp Use Through The Recession

There is a chart appearing towards the latter half of this clip that is a the most telling. Food stamp use is surging in all the states.

If the recovery was a health event and not an economic one the patient wouldn't be heading in the right direction would they? What were seeing is not an anomaly though. The economy on Wall st. might have entered a recovery but that hasn't really had much of an effect on the general population has it? Maybe the top 50% of the pop. income wise is doing ok, but the rest of the pop. has entered a deepening Depression. Nobody but the people in this situation seems to care. The media goes along reporting whatever propaganda the top 50% prefers to believe and the more vicious Reich wing part of the population has chosen to blame the bottom half for all of societies ills.

We now will have this austerity minded, cut the deficit, fiscal adult conversation crew taking over the House. They have their sites set on entitlements. Will they go after food stamps? Why wouldn't they.

I think you have articulated the problem here. Those at the bottom of the economic pyramid are invisible.

Not yet they'll become invisible after they're dead and the GOPers intend to try and kill more then a few going forward. This is WAR my friend it's Class War being fought and believe me by some of the responses I get at my blog it's going to get very very ugly before it's over. The problem is most people who are under assault right now don't get it. They blame themselves wholly for their predicament and they're wrong. We didn't crash the economy neither did ACORN or the FHA , Wall st. did and it's now trying to shift the blame off to everyone else.
