Democrats win when they stay on message ( economics) in the old Blue Midwest when they steer off into sexual politics they lose. The whole sexual politics and Identity politics things has a limited appeal and drives many people to the GOPutin.
It's hard for me to comment because I read contradictory analysis about voting interests. You would think all seniors, every single one, would never vote GOP given the GOP's interest in removing SSI and Medicare. Yet senior white are the backbone of the GOP. Why would any woman vote for Trump, yet white women voted for him in the majority. I think once a Dem always a Dem etc etc. This indie middle group is hard for me to understand.
