Trumpf used the bad report McCabe got from the inspector general as an excuse to can him. That report was about his handling of the Clinton emails case and had absolutely nothing to do with the Russian investigation NOTHING. He conflates the two to try and tie McCabe to MUeller in his followers minds and they are more then willing to believe it. McCabe's firing was also done in such a manner to specifically threaten the entire Gov't bureaucracy it was ugly and vindictive for a reason.
This is Trump's entire approach, he lies and conflates everything with an eye towards improving his own brand. It's only one of the many reasons why he is a despicable person.
