I think it's more likely that Trumpf et al. are going to end up being accused of criminally suspect business dealings with the Russian mob / Oligarchs. Russia is a deeply corrupt society today with a Dictator that has been very busy destroying what few remanents of democracy that started to grow after the Soviet era collapse of that Empire. Putin wants to return Russia to the World stage as a Superpower again he longs for the good old days when Russia ( AKA the Soviet Union) ruled a/3 rd of the planet. Of course, now that Putin is one of the wealthiest men on Earth he has no need of Marxism and the Communist Party and its stifling totalitarian State. Instead, the "new" Russian Empire ( AKA The Russian Federation) is a Neo-Fascist State complete with a State Church and growing Military armed with a modernizing Nuclear Navy and Air Force with Nuclear missiles. The weak link is the Russian economy which hardly exists outside of Oil and Nat. gas resources. Also, Russia politics are decidedly anti-democratic and Authoritarian. TrumPutin want to export this model to the US and with Donald in power they are now busy doing just that.

Sure, and look what it is doing. It's leading to the breakdown of our society. Half the population believes Trump, the other half believes reality. We live in a country where half the population is existing in a different reality, literally. I think if you live in the USA right now, your best play is to live in an area that supports your reality. Upstate NY where I live is a very liberal area, I'm fine with that.
