The Market On Tuesday

Good morning. It is 46 degrees and cloudy here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a cloudy day with temperatures in the 50s this afternoon. The days remain cloudy or rainy and with very mild Spring temperatures. The good new is that we are out of a drought situation. The bad news is that I'm still wearing layers and layers of clothing.

At 9:05 a.m. DOW futures are +34 and the price of oil per barrel is down. The market is poised to open moderately higher.

As you know Sally Yates testified openly yesterday afternoon. Her testimony is being parsed to little tiny bits. Clearly something is very wrong here. We all have our suspicions and the smoke surrounding the involvement of the Trump team with Russia is compelling. All I can say is that I hope the investigations continue and gets all of the truth out there. If one were to listen to the line of questioning from the GOP Senators on Monday, one would leave wondering if they are even remotely aware of the potential for treason. That was very disappointing. I expected a little bit better, at lest Graham was slightly reasonable.
