The Market On Monday

Good morning. It is 54 degrees and partly cloudy, the forecast predicts more clouds and temperatures in the high 70s this afternoon. The longer ranger forecast predicts temperatures in the 80s tomorrow and that is something I am looking forward to. No doubt we will be seeing the forsythia this week, welcome back forsythia it's been a long time. Think about all the things that have transpired since the last blooming of the forsythia, the country has really taken a dive since.

At 9:00 a.m. ET DOW futures are +3 and the price of oil per barrel is up, now above $52. The market is poised to open in the flat territory. As always, that number more than likely will change through the day.

We are experiencing the blow back from the Syria missile attack. Most news outlets are behind it, but most critical thinkers are not. I certainly have my suspicions.

Reuters: Futures flat as first-quarter earnings season approaches
Investors are keenly watching the quarterly results to justify lofty market valuations following a post-election rally, sparked off by bets that President Donald Trump would introduce pro-growth policies.
