The Market On Thursday

Good morning. It is 40 degrees and hazy sunny here in the Upper Hudson Valley, the forecast predicts a cloudy day and it's going to get a lot colder especially on Saturday; you will need many layers of clothing. Looks like the repeal of Obamacare is on the way. Instead there will be a far worse problem on everybody's hands - Tumpcare.

At 9:10 a.m. ET DOW futures are -3 and the price of oil per barrel is down now below $50. The market is poised to open in the flat area.

The stock market has had a solid 8 year run. People are pointing to today as the 8 year Bull Market run anniversary. It started with Obama.

CNN: Happy birthday! Bull market in stocks turns 8 today by Matt Egan
"The mood today versus eight years ago is quite dramatic. It's polar-opposite. Back then, nobody wanted to buy stocks," said Joe Quinlan, chief investment strategist at U.S. Trust.
