We'll have a much better idea of the outcome of the two conventions by later next week. Right now I believe tRump is once again on the defensive.

I agree, but this poll was encouraging. This information is spreading too, I saw a reference to it at the Guardian UK. It's probably all over by now too.

Disturbingly though the 538 Now poll has tightened even more and is now at 51% Clinton 49% tRump today. If tRump is gaining on Clinton at this pt. in the 538 Clinton is in deep trouble. We'll see how things go next week. I don't agree with Nate on the NOW polling though. Why? After the Convention and especially after DJ's disgraceful ( literally) performance attacking the Khan's on TV and the Russian Putin crap plus the DNC I don't smell some great tRump surge out here. On the other hand HRC has a real fight on her hands, because there is a pretty strong consensus out here things are not great in America for the majority no matter what she , Bill, or Obama say and she has to offer more then some dim prospect of improvement. She needs to put Single Payer or Medicare for all firmly on the table and do something about the ruinous situation for millions of young people over their unpayable and crushing College debts. The GOP faithful will vote for TRump no matter what if they think he will win.
