Bernie

As New York is a solid blue state, in the primary I will vote for Bernie given the likelihood that it will be a choice between only Sanders and Clinton. That could change. I expect Hillary to win the nomination though. Considering her challenger will likely be Jeb or Walker with a very very wacky Tea Party VP on the ticket, I'll will begrudgingly vote for Hillary.

I'm afraid your going to be right on the final outcome of all this. Increasingly, were having Nat'l elections that ONLY reflect the views and candidates owned by BIG $$. This is not a democracy anymore or maybe it never was is the real truth. Its always been a Plutocracy to one degree or another from day 1 and I believe that was the way the founders meant it to be. You can read many of the founding fathers contempt for the average man and their fear of a mass democracy. We should all remember that the US Constitution was being written and approved of at a time when the French Revolution was raging in Europe and I'm sure having a marked effect on the authors.

Bernie Sanders won;t even get the VP nod, allegedly it's the mayor of San Antonio who brings with him the Latin vote. Plutocracy it is, it is a plutocracy with democratic highlights. The democratic highlights are the issues that are reflected in the social issues - gay marriage or not, abortion or not, social security or not. Beyond that, the important trade, war, wealth, monetary policy, corporate power etc etc all the major issues are in the hands of a few and it doesn't seem to matter who is president for Wall Street and the power elite to increase their wealth and power. All we are allowed to do is vote on social issues.
