Have A Great Friday

work by Charlie Hebdo

I'm not buying this meme that's going around that Charlie Hebdo was all about disguising eurozone Islamaphobia. Take a look at this cartoon. It is a satirical depiction of the Catholic belief of three gods in one god - the father, son, and holy spirit. Admittedly the drawing is incredibly juvenile and to any strict Catholic this would be an outrage. I suspect it's about the pedophile priest scandals that rock the Catholic Church. So, they were not going after Muslims exclusively. I mean France is very Catholic, much more so than it is Muslim. Charlie Hebdo is an equal opportunity juvenile satirist publication. The question that remains is why are a very few Muslims more willing to go on a murderous rampage about it.

Pretty rude stuff. I agree though the guy was definitely an equal opportunity when it came to satire. Unfortunately, these days there are more then a few crazed religionists around to carry out these deadly threats.
